south coast wedding photographers

About Me

Hi I’m Nora.  I am a full time photographer and that I’ve been photographing weddings and families on the NSW South Coast for 10 years now. I live in the beautiful Jervis Bay area with my husband, two children.  I love to travel and I’m more than happy to travel anywhere for your wedding especially Bali as my best friend lives there. I am pretty easy going, relaxed and fun.

My Experience

I fell in love with photography in high school. I was lucky enough to be given a cadetship at a Sydney Newspaper where I learned all aspects of photography and went on to become a Photojournalist. In 2007 my husband I longed for a sea change so packed our bags and moved to the beautiful NSW South Coast.  Since living here I have shifted my main focus to photographing weddings and families and I have never been happier. Since then I have photographed over 300 weddings so I am very experienced at capturing all your precious moments and understand there is so much more to photographing weddings than just taking pretty photos.

My Shooting Style

Natural, relaxed and fun! My background in photojournalism has given me the skills to capture your wedding day in a candid, unobtrusive and documentary style.  I aim for my photographs to evoke emotion so each time you view them you relive the moments of the day. During my career I have photographed everything from glamorous celebrities to little old ladies. This has given me the experience to adapt to my subjects resulting in natural looking photographs that truly reflect your personalities. I am happy to give direction where needed, however I believe that there is nothing worse than pushy photographers putting you in uncomfortable poses that create awkward and meaningless images. Instead I think photography is a way of telling stories. It would be my privilege to tell yours.

My Editing Style

I like to keep my photos looking very natural. Having learned to shoot on film I really love the tone and colours that film produces, so I have developed editing  presets to emulate the look of film.  I’ve seen many photography fads come and go.  Just think sepia, selective colour, heavy dark vignetting and cross processing (over saturated high contrast) and now the current trend of dark unsaturated photos.  Fads come and go, but natural looking photographs are timeless and they also look beautiful in print not just in digital form.  I want you to love your photos for many generations.
