Katie and Peter’s Kangaroo Valley Wedding

Often when I meet people and tell them that I am a wedding photographer they ask me if it gets boring photographing the same thing all the time.  I always give the same answer…No because every wedding is different.  Yes they are the same in the sense that they are all weddings but each wedding is so different because of what the individual couples bring to it. Katie and Peter’s wedding is a perfect example of that.  Everything about their wedding reflected on who they were. They had a country themed wedding in beautiful Kangaroo Valley.  The ceremony was at Crystal Creek Meadows and the reception was held inside the Kangaroo Valley Hall which by the way I recommend to anyone wanting a DIY country styled wedding. Katie wore no shoes to the ceremony with a short wedding dress, they had farm animals as place cards at the reception, they entered the reception to Sabotage by the Beastie Boys and they brought along a funny horse head as a prop for the photos. The ceremony location, choice of reception venue and all the  little personal touches made Katie and Peter’s wedding unique and different to any other wedding I’ve photographed, as I am sure the next wedding I photograph will be different once again. So no, my job is definitely not boring in any way shape or form!

I love this wedding so much that it was very hard to narrow the photos down to just a few. Enjoy!
